PARIS -(Dow Jones)- Alcatel-Lucent doesn't expect growth in the market for the CDMA mobile-phone technology during 2008, Chief Executive Patricia Russo said Wednesday.
"The market is a declining market," Russo told a conference call. Alcatel-Lucent is the global leader in the CDMA technology, the with close to 50% market share.
Russo said, though, the company will continue to pursue new opportunities in CDMA, notably in Russia and India, to try to mitigate declines elsewhere.
Russo also said the GSM market is due to be flat to slightly down in 2008.
