Huawei Dploying HSDPA Network in Brazil

Huawei has announced that it has deployed a commercial network based on HSDPA for Claro, a subsidiary of América Móvil, in Brazil. The HSPA network that Huawei is building will be based on a distributed node b solution. Furthermore, the company says that its IP-RAN solution will result in significant savings in its current transmission costs.

"Huawei has supplied us with innovative solutions which meet the requirements of the Brazilian market," said Eduardo Moreno, Network Engineering Director of Claro Brazil, "Claro's 3G network will bring more pleasant surprise and enjoyment to our customers."

"Huawei is proud to support Claro and believes that the HSPA network will play a significant role in meeting broadband access needs in Brazil," added Mr. Jack Wang, CEO of Huawei Brazil. "HSPA provides the fastest and most cost-effective solution for operators that want to offer broadband services that will provide their customers with an enhanced user-experience at a competitive price."
