PARIS -(Dow Jones)- French mobile phone operator SFR, a unit of Vivendi and Vodafone Group, Monday said it has no plans to cut jobs as part of its plan to takeover Neuf Cegetel.
In a statement, the company refuted a report by French weekly La Lettre de l'Expansion Monday that said the company had plans to cut around 2,000 jobs.
"There are no plans for job cuts and no targets set to reduce the number of workers," SFR said in a statement.
