Mobile Phone Video Clip Leads to Child Porn Allegations

An 18 year old former high school student in Oklahoma, USA has been charged with manufacturing child pornography after he allegedly used the video camera function on his mobile phone to record a sexual act with a 16-year-old girl. The age of consent in Oklahoma is 16 years though, so the report may be referring to a girl who was under the age of consent at the time of the activity.

Local newspaper, The Oklahoman reported that Kylem Lamont Carter, 18, also is charged with distributing child pornography because he allegedly shared the video with a number of other students.

Carter could face up to 20 years in prison on each count if convicted.

There have been instances of adult porn clips being distributed by MMS, and in the UK bullying attacks by schoolchildren are routinely recorded on camera phones and shared amongst friends.
