InfoSonics Starts Shipping New Handset to LatAm Markets

InfoSonics Corp. says that its proprietary verykool i405 handset has begun shipping to carriers in Central America. The i405, a slim clamshell form factor, is a quad-band cellular phone that includes a 1.5 inch LCD display, VGA camera, Bluetooth wireless connectivity, an AM/FM radio and additional features.

"The i405 is the sixth in a line-up of verykool products aimed at providing current and potential carrier customers with unique, feature-rich handsets," said Joseph Ram, President and Chief Executive Officer.

"Initial shipments of this product will be going to Central America, where initial feedback from the other products in our verykool line up has been positive. The verykool product line is a key component of our strategy to drive revenue growth and gross margin expansion."

InfoSonics is initially focused on selling its proprietary verykool line of products to carrier customers in Latin America, with the potential for geographic expansion opportunities in the future.
