TAIPEI -(Dow Jones)- Chunghwa Telecom said Thursday its first-half audited net profit rose 10.9% to NT$24.60 billion (US$774 million), or NT$2.31 a share, from NT$22.19 billion (US$671 million), or NT$2.07 a share, in the year-earlier period.
The result was in line with the unaudited net profit of NT$24.6 billion the company issued in July.
Its consolidated revenue in the first half was NT$95.71 (US$2.9) billion, up from unconsolidated NT$90.59 billion a year earlier, boosted by higher Internet and mobile phone services revenue, Taiwan's largest phone company by revenue said in a statement.
