
Over a quarter of mobile phones sold in China in the first half of this year, reports ChinaTechNews citing a report in the Chinese language Sohu.com. The news report claims that the sales volume of illegal mobile phones reached a total of 23.34 million in the first six months of this year.
CECT CEO Li Dewei has told local media that based on the production and sales patterns of illegal mobile phone manufacturers, CECT is working to report all available information to the government supervision departments, providing clues on various fake mobile phones vendors.
Zhu Xiaofeng from BenQ China says that mobile phone enterprises are now focusing more on improving the techniques and quality of their products in a bid to make them unique and difficult to copy.
