Telecom Argentina plans to launch this week a 3G service offering in capital Buenos Aires, company chairman Carlos Felices said during a conference call with investors.
No other details were given.
The company also expects changes in local regulations allowing telecoms operators in Argentina to provide triple play services to be introduced by the end of the year, the executive said.
Felices said the company was carrying out internal tests in preparation for when the government gives the go-ahead.
Telecoms authorities have said they are studying modifications to the regulations but have not given any indication as to when they might be ready."
