China Mobile, the Chinese GSM network, has announced a package of price cuts aimed at securing a larger share of the mainland's mobile market, the official China Daily reported. The new price incentives waive monthly fees and commission charges for mobile services such as manual roaming, call transferring and change in mobile phone ownership, and will dramatically reduce fees for short message and mobile banking services, the paper said. "The latest price cuts aim to make the fee structure of China Mobile more reasonable and transparent," Lu Xiangdong, vice president of China Mobile, was quoted as saying."
