TV Broadcaster Extends Mobile Content Contract

Mobile Interactive Group (MIG) says that it has won a 12 month extension on its current contract with the UK television broadcaster, ITV. The contract extension will see MIG continue to manage ITV's entire portfolio of mobile services in to 2007. Over the coming months MIG will be integrating an exciting new range of mobile technologies across all of ITV's channels and forthcoming programme schedules.

These will include innovative 3G applications and services and a new CRM platform encompassing all of ITV's digital platforms. MIG's WAP billing technology will also be used to power purchases from the ITV mobile portal and its SMS micro billing will be used for ITV Broadband payments.

Since MIG's appointment 12 months ago it has worked with ITVi to launch ITV Mobile, managed the biggest text vote in history for the last series of The X Factor, introduced a new CRM initiative, launched video blogging and managed the production of its entire mobile video content range.

Commenting on the decision to extend MIG's contract, Ann Cook, Controller of ITVi and .com, ITV, said: "During the last year we have made a significant commitment to providing a broad range of interactive platforms to help increase enjoyment of our programmes and to develop closer relationships with our viewers. This has been a very successful strategy and one that MIG has worked very closely with us on."
