
Mobile phones with prepaid cards were very much in demand during the Christmas shopping season in 2004. Nokia therefore kept a firm grasp on its No. 1 position because it offers these types of phones. Siemens entered the best-selling list for the same reason.
Sony Ericsson, with four mobile phones, still has the most handset models on the "Top Ten" list but fell a few notches in the rankings in December.
