China's official news agency, People's Daily has reported that there are now more mobile phone users than there are landline phones in the country. The country now has 259.638 million cell phones compared to 255.139 million landlines/
This year, the increase in the number of fixed telephone users and mobile phone users were 40.917 million and 50.933 million respectively.
In the meantime, telecommunication business revenue was US$46.12 billion, up 14.5% over the same period of last year."
