Video Clip Service, Vine Adds Private Messaging Options

Published on:

Vine the short video clip sharing service has adding a new feature that lets users send short video clip messages privately to each other.

Users can also send videos to anyone in their address book, even if they aren't a subscriber to the service.

In addition to VMs, this release introduces colors to customize profiles, which will be visible to other Vine users.

For privacy, users can block unknown people sending them messages, although it doesn't appear possible to disable the messaging service entirely.

Users need to download the updated Vine app from the iTunes or Google Play stores, or trigger an upgrade through their handset first.
