Telecom Egypt's CEO says that he expects the government to issue the landline operator with its MVNO license imminently.
Mohamed el-Nawawy told Al Arabia that the licence could be issued as soon as next month.
"We are in the final stages," Hesham el-Alaily, head of the National Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (NTRA) was quoted as saying in reference to the licence.
Telecom Egypt also owns a 45% stake in Vodafone's local subsidiary, and is widely expected to run its MVNO over the Vodafone network.
