Note -- this news article is more than a year old.
An artist has turned to using his smartphone as a form of old school augmented reality with some really impressive results.
Storyboard artist Marty Cooper finds locations that he thinks he can turn into short animated clips, and then using old fashioned transparencies he draws an animation on the scene.
Holding the phone and the drawings up, the then manages to take a load of photos of the two combined, then later edits them into a short animation.
It's augmented reality, but not as you would expect it.
