The CEO of the USA based text messaging provider, Urban Airship has stepped down from the role following allegations of sexual assault.
Scott Kveton wrote in a blog post that he had already decided to step down as CEO several months ago and the company is already seeking a replacement.
However, there were reports last week that he has been under investigation for the past few months by police following a complaint from a former girlfriend of sexual assault in 2012 and 2013.
As he has now come under intense pressure, he is going on an extended leave of absence to focus on resolving this situation.
Effective immediately, the Chief Financial Officer, Mike Temple will become interim CEO while the company seeks a permanent replacement.
