Mozilla Names Co_founder As New CEO

Mozilla, the open source company that developed a web browser and now wants to have its own smartphone OS has named a new CEO.

Mozilla's co-founder and current Chief Technology Officer Brendan Eich will be appointed to the role of CEO of Mozilla, effective immediately.

Jay Sullivan, who has been acting CEO for the past year will stay on through the transition to support the team and then leave to pursue new opportunities.

The company also shuffled a number of other managers around, however the new CEO is also expected to drive the company towards more mobile services, including the Firefox OS and its mobile browser.
