ZTE Wins Slovak LTE Rollout Contract

ZTE says that it has signed a contract with Slovak operator Swan for a nationwide LTE network project.

ZTE will exclusively construct core CS/PS (circuit-switched/packet-switched) network, and a GSM/LTE mobile communications and VAS (value added services) network, involving over 1,100 dual-mode GSM/LTE base stations to SWAN.

Swan was granted the fourth wireless operator license in Slovakia in January 2014, and plans to build more than 1,100 GSM and LTE base stations within three years.

Financial and timeline details for the contract were not disclosed.
