Saudi Arabia's Zain Awards US$1.2 Billion Worth of Network Upgrade Contracts

Zain Saudi Arabia has announced the signing of network expansion and upgrade agreements worth SAR 4.5 billion (USD1.2 billion) with five suppliers.
The agreements were signed with Huawei, Nokia, NEC, Cisco, and Alcatel Lucent.
Eng. Sultan Abdulaziz Al-Deghaither, Zain's acting Chief Technical Officer, said "We aim to provide 4G LTE coverage to over 90% of the population, providing existing and new customers with real high-speed mobile internet connectivity."
The break down of which company won which part of the order was not disclosed though. Neither was the details about the duration of the contracts.
