China Mobile has responded to complaints about the cost of its LTE mobile data charges and announced that it will double the mobile data allowance included with the tariff bundles.
The company's 4G subscribers will now recieve 2 GB of LTE data for 70 yuan (US$11.35) per month, double the data volume of the previous plan, said China Mobile chairman Xi Guohua.
The new pricing will take effect on Sunday.
China Mobile's network was also criticized for weak signals and limited coverage at a time when it is charging a premium for the service.
The mobile network says that it has around 5 million 4G customers.
