Telenor selects Nokia for five-year radio agreement

Note -- this news article is more than a year old.

Nokia says that it has won a 5 year agreement to be considered for future contracts by Telenor Group.

"We continue to invest in the modernization of our network to provide excellent end-user experience as part of our vision of Internet for all," said Hilde Tonne, EVP, Group Industrial Development Telenor Group. "For this important radio access technology area, we have selected Nokia as a partner due to our excellent working relationship and the company's proven expertise in mobile broadband and services."

No contracts have actually been signed, and as with the deal announced earlier this week with Alcatel-Lucent, it is just a framework agreement to buy equipment in the future.
