ZTE to Replace Huawei Equipment for Cambodian Operator

ZTE says that it has won a major mobile network contract from the Cambodian mobile network, Sotelco, swapping out the operator's current vendor Huawei.
ZTE's said that it will displace Huawei equipment in hundreds of sites, covering Phnom Penh and core areas of other provinces.
Financial terms of the "major contract" were not disclosed.
"This project will deepen ZTE's understanding of the mobile market in Cambodia, helping us provide the best solution for mobile operators." said ZTE Vice President Zhang Jianpeng.
In 2013, Sotelco won 1900MHz frequency for 3G deployment, and will begin deploying 3G services for all subscribers in Cambodia in 2014. And also, with the support of ZTE, Sotelco will launch 4G services in 2014.
