India's Reliance Jio Infocomm says that it has signed a tower sharing agreement with American Tower's Indian subsidiary.
Under the agreement, Reliance Jio would utilize the telecom tower infrastructure of ATC India to launch its services across the country.
ATC has a portfolio of 11,000 towers in India.
Financial terms were not disclosed, nor any details about how many towers the leases would cover. However, it is known that Reliance Jio plans to lease around 70,000 towers and build some 30,000 of its own as it prepares to launch its network later this year.
The company has already signed tower lease agreement with RCom and with Bharti Airtel for their towers.
