Canada's Rogers Wireless says that it has enabled its LTE network using 700Mhz spectrum in select Vancouver, Calgary and Toronto.
The company secured the radio spectrum in the recent auction, where it paid $3.3 billion for the rights to the 700Mhz block.
The majority of LTE devices that Rogers customers use can take advantage of the 700MHz spectrum that's live today.
"With our beachfront spectrum, we'll deliver the ultimate mobile video experience to our customers in even more places where they couldn't access LTE before," said John Boynton, executive vice president, CMO, Rogers Communications.
The confirmed that it will continue expanding its 700Mhz coverage.
Rival network, Bell Mobility started its 700Mhz deployments in Ontario earlier this month.
