Helios Towers to Improve Tanzanian Indoor Coverage

African towers operator, Helios Towers has announced plans to offer in building coverage services in Tanzania.

Helios Towers (Tanania) CEO, Norman Moyo told East African Business Week that the service in response to a wide proliferation of next generation technologies like 3G and 4G services.

"To building owners, developers and property managers, IBS becomes an amenity that is as important as electricity or fire extinguishers," he said.

However, he did not actually say what the company plans to offer, or how it will be deploying the infrastructure equipment.

Helios Towers operates in the country having bought 1,150 towers from Vodacom last year.
