Israeli authorities are accused of having seized telecoms equipment belonging to the Palestinian mobile network operator, Wataniya Telecom.
The Palestinian Communications Minister, Safa Nasser made the allegations, accusing Israel of "tightening the noose around the local communication sector" in Gaza.
"Israel has confiscated equipment belonging to mobile phone operator Wataniya Telecom," Nasser told Anadolu Agency on Monday.
She added that Israeli authorities had suspended an earlier decision to allow Palestinian firms to provide 3G services.
Nasser said that her ministry had asked the ITU to pressure Israel to reverse its restrictions on the Palestinian telecom sector.
Wataniya Telecom, which is majority owned by Qatar's Ooreedo secured a US$125 million financing package in the middle of 2012 to expand its network from the West Bank into Gaza.
At the time the company indicated that it was ordering equipment from Ericsson.
