Multi national MVNO, Lebara says that it has been granted an MVNO license in Saudi Arabia, and plans to launch services within the next few months. The company submitted its application last June.

Lebara says that it has already signed a wholesale access agreement with Mobily (Etihad Etisalat).

Yoganathan Ratheesan, CEO of Lebara Group, commented "We are excited about Lebara's next stage of growth into the Gulf market. Lebara will initially and primarily provide low-cost and high quality mobile communication services to the migrant community and those with loved ones abroad,"

UK-based Lebara Group has operations in the UK, Germany, France, Denmark, The Netherlands, Poland, Spain and Australia.

The Saudi regulator issued three MVNO licenses, and the other two license holders are Virgin Mobile and Axiom Mobile.
