New Zealand's smallest mobile network, 2degrees says that it plans to launch its LTE services this coming July. That makes it the last of the three networks to offer 4G services, after Telecom and Vodafone.
Coverage will be initially limited to Auckland, and will be expanded to three major cities by the end of the year, with regional coverage starting next year.
The company said that it will start consumer trials next week, with the formal launch due in July.
"As the newest player in the market, we have taken a very systematic approach to the rollout of our network to ensure we get it right for our customers," 2degrees chief executive Stewart Sherriff.
