Vodafone Fiji has expanded its M PAiSA mobile banking service to allow payments to be made for domestic electricity services.
The Managing Director of Vodafone, Mr Aslam Khan said, "Since the launch of M-PAiSA in June last year, we have been getting numerous calls into our Customer Care Centre on when FEA and other utility bill pay services will be made available through M-PAiSA."
"For FEA its means timely collections and hopefully more savings from reduced costs of disconnections and reconnections." he added.
Once the payment is processed, the customer will receive an electronic receipt in the form of a SMS or text message that will be the customer's evidence of payment. The receipt will carry date and time of payment, receipt number, FEA account number for which the bill has been paid and the amount paid.
Customers will also be able to pay someone else's bill if they want as long as they know their FEA account number.
