Huawei Committed to Android - For Now

China's Huawei has been reported to be working on its own smartphone OS as a replacement for the Google dominated Android OS.
However, Huawei CEO Richard Yu sent out a short message on Weibo, the country's equivalent of Twitter in an attempt to scotch the rumours.
Yu said that Google has a great, expanding ecosystem that users can benefit from. As long as Google keeps the system's "openness," the company will continue to use it and improve upon it via EMUI.
He did not explicitly deny that the company was working on its own OS, apparently code-named Kirin, but if the firm is, it could have been misreported as an enhancement of Android with its own skins, the EMUI platform.
