Mozilla Starts Taking Pre-Orders for its Firefox Smartphone

Mozilla has started accepting pre orders from developers who want to try out the Firefox OS on a reference smartphone.

To standardize the design, development, and testing of Firefox OS, Mozilla has partnered with a company called Thundersoft to manufacture, distribute, and update a Firefox OS reference phone called the Flame.

The company admits that the options for getting something through retail were limited. So, it is offering the Firefox OS Flame for US$170 and they will ship globally, except to Japan.
