Apple Delaying Some iPhone Software Upgrades

Apple hasn't released the version 8 of its iOS software yet but is already being rumoured to be having trouble incorporating all the upgrades in time for its expected availability date.
As such, it is being reported that some of the rumoured upgrades are now rumoured to be delayed.
The main cause is reported by 9th5Mac to be due to a reallocation of staffing resources within Apple away from the mobile software to a revamp of its main computer software for an OS X release.
One of the expected additions to the iPhone/iPad that may be delayed, is the addition of local transport information into the Apple Maps software, although most users would probably prefer it if they just fixed the maps instead.
Another area that is rumoured to be under development, but now pushed back is support for multi-screen apps, that can work on different resolution devices. That could be a reaction to Windows Phone, which now allows apps to be linked when running on PC or smartphone.
It could also indicate that the long rumoured Apple television is indeed on its way at last.
