The French consumer electronics manufacturer Thomson has shown off a dual boot tablet that can run both Android and Windows 8.1 software platforms.

The hybrid device runs in Android when in tablet mode, and then switches to Windows OS when used with the supplied keyboard.

The Thomson THBK1 comes with an Atom quad-core processor running at 1.33Ghz and 2G RAM.

The tablet/laptop screen is a 10.1 inch model with a 1280x800 pixel resolution.

The modest, but usable specifications lead to an equally modest price, as the hybrid device is expected to go on sale for just EUR300.
