Motorola appears to be preparing to launch an upgrade for its Moto X smartphone which could be the last major launch before its is swallowed up by China's Lenovo.
What is tentatively being called the Moto X+1, appears on a recently released benchmarking test as the Moto X XT912A.
According to the tests, the new handset comes with a 5.2-inch display screen, a Snapdragon 800 processor and 2GB of memory. It also appears to offer 24GB of internal storage memory and will launch, unsurprisingly with the latest version of the Android OS.
In addition, the benchmark indicates a 12-megapixel main camera with auto-focus, HDR capabilities (multiple photos at different exposures) and facial recognition.
The smaller front facing camera is a 2-megapixel model.
The specifications are all a modest improvement on the current Moto X with no surprises in store.
