Sony Mobile appears to have stopped taking pre orders for its recently announced Xperia Z2 smartphone as the company is beset by rumours of production delays.
The flagship smartphone was shown off just last month, with sales due to start within the next week or so.
The phone comes with a 20.7 megapixel camera that has been matched with 1/2.3-type Exmor RS for mobile CMOS image sensor, Sony's G Lens and BIONZ for mobile image processing engine.
However, it is now being reported that the company has stopped taking pre-orders for the smartphone, and is unlikely to be able to ship devices until April, with very limited stocks available.
In a statement, the company said: "We're seeing particularly strong demand for Xperia Z2 across all of our distribution channels. As with all of our product launches, global rollout is phased across markets and channels."
