Nokia's Lumia Smartphone Selling "Reasonably Well" at AT&T Stores

Nokia's Lumia 900 smartphone is selling reasonably well in the USA, a report on visits to AT&T stores has found. In fact, the handset is coming second only to Apple's iPhone in the sales charts.
Citing a research note by Raymond James's Tavis McCourt, Barrons wrote that there is no sign of sales of the Nokia smartphone "falling off a cliff", as had been claimed in some reports.
"Clearly, at $99 and with very noticeable retail store support from AT&T reps, the Lumia launch in the US was built for volume" the research note added.
However, he expressed skeptism if sales would hold up when Samsung's Galaxy III is launched and availability of HTC's OneX is improved.
"Notably the hold music for all AT&T stores across the country invites listeners to behold the "beautifully different" Nokia Lumia 900, and store reps are clearly pushing the product heavily," McCourt wrote.
