Mannesmann Trial Date Set
The German regional court in Duesseldorf has stated that its trial of the former Mannesmann board will commence on January 21st next year. The court will sit for a total of 40 days with the final court hearing on June 30th.
Witnesses have not yet been called.
Deutsche Banks' Chief Executive, Josef Ackermann, the former president of the labor union IG Metall, Klaus Zwickel, a former Mannesmann supervisory board member, Joachim Funk and Juergen Ladberg, former head of Mannesmann's workers' council have been charged with a breach of fiduciary duty.
Klaus Esser, former Mannesmann CEO and Dieter Droste, former Mannesmann head of personnel, have been charged with the lesser offense of abetting the breach of fiduciary duty."
