CDMA Power Amplifier Contract Signed

The microwave and millimeter wave subsystems manufacturer, Remec says that it has been selected as a primary supplier to a North American OEM in two separate source selections. Remec will supply two different multi-carrier power amplifier (MCPA) requirements for CDMA PCS band network solutions to be deployed in the Americas.

"We are extremely pleased to get these additional competitive awards from a leading OEM," said Ron Ragland, REMEC's Chairman and CEO. "REMEC's PCS MCPA's will help our OEM customer deploy voice and third generation 1XRTT, 1 XEV-DO and UMTS high speed data networks to their service provider customers in the 1900 MHz PCS band. With this new win, REMEC now provides our OEM customer with a complete product offering in both the PCS and cellular bands, expanding REMEC's MCPA market share. Customer policy does not permit additional data release with respect to these awards, however the potential benefits of this business warrants the information release."
