Qualcomm Expands BREW into Peru

Qualcomm and Telefonica Moviles' Peruvian operation have signed an agreement for TEM Peru to deploy downloadable wireless applications and services based on Qualcomm's BREW solution. The agreement and pending launch mark the first time BREW-enabled products and services will be available to wireless subscribers in Peru. TEM Peru will make a variety of BREW-based applications commercially available in the last quarter of the year. Wireless data services based on the BREW solution enable users to download applications such as games, ring tones, information directories and location-based services directly to their wireless devices virtually any time, anywhere.
