GSM Coverage Expanded to Tallest Building

Hong Kong's SmarTone Mobile says that its GSM coverage has been expanded to cover the interior the city's tallest building, the Two IFC. The building is the third tallest building in the world. Two IFC's mobile network coverage extends to all office floors and public areas including shopping arcades, restaurants, hotel, cinemas, podiums, car parks in basement levels, all lifts, staircases, management office and utility/facility rooms.

As a pioneer and expert in mobile communications with advanced technologies, SmarTone designs and implements the advanced mobile radio system of Two IFC. SmarTone's position as the mobile operator with the best network is further bolstered by its provision of seamless network coverage to the tenants and visitors of Two IFC, enabling them to enjoy advanced voice and data services uninterruptedly anywhere in the building.

SmarTone's excellence in designing and implementing large-scale radio network systems has been exemplified by its taking lead network operator role in the Two IFC project and other prominent ones like One IFC, Hong Kong International Airport, Guangzhou New Bai Yun International Airport, and major commercial buildings and shopping malls in Hong Kong."
