Cerillion Wins Baltic Contract
Cerillion Technologies says that it has signed an agreement with Tele2 to provide a unified billing solution for mobile and fixed operations in both Estonia and Lithuania. This solution will provide billing for over 500,000 subscribers by the end of 2003. The billing platform will be based in Estonia but will cover both countries. The decision follows Tele2 Estonia's decision last year to migrate fixed wire subscribers to the existing Cerillion system that was already billing mobile users in that country.
Said Robin Burton, Cerillion Head of Marketing: "Lithuania is a very competitive market. By moving the billing to the Cerillion system we expect to deliver significant economies in operational and support costs. This should enable even more gains in market share."
Louis Hall, CEO of Cerillion Technologies, said: "We are very excited about this contract with Tele2, and are very pleased to be able to extend our relationship with Tele2. In a competitive market for OSS solutions, this is an important endorsement of the service that the Cerillion team has provided to the Tele2 Estonia operation over several years. The pan-national billing model makes sound economic sense for groups of operators of this type. We therefore expect that this model will be adopted by other groups of operators in other parts of the world."
