AirPrime Launched RadioOne Compliant CDMA Module

AirPrime has introduced the latest addition to its Helium 1x family of CDMA embedded modules: the EM3400 series. The EM3400 series platform is a compact full-featured CDMA2000 1x embedded module supporting dual band operation, assisted GPS functionality and comprehensive voice and data applications. The EM3400 platform is the first module available to the OEM marketplace based on QUALCOMM's advanced Zero-IF based technology known as radioOne and the MSM6050 baseband processor. AirPrime is one of the early adopters of QUALCOMM's radioOne technology and the new EM3400 series represents the company's first in a series of new products based on this architecture.

The EM3400 series module has passed the set of voice and data interoperability test requirements defined by the CDMA Development Group (CDG) with all key CDMA network infrastructure providers for North America.

"Once again, AirPrime has delivered, on-time, an industry-first embedded module solution for our OEM partners who are looking for time-to-market advantages in bringing high quality cutting-edge products to their customers," said Jim Kirkpatrick, CEO and president of AirPrime, Inc. "The addition of the EM3400 series module, combined with our comprehensive and unrivaled embedded offering, marks us as a progressive leader in the CDMA industry."
