LogicaCMG Supplying MMS to Russia

LogicaCMG has announced an agreement with Mobile TeleSystems (MTS), Russia's largest mobile operator, to deploy MMS services in the Moscow region. The roll out of MMS services is part of a total messaging solution, which encompasses LogicaCMG's Short Messaging Service Centre (SMSC), MMSC, WAP services and business tools to enable comprehensive statistics and usage reporting. The Moscow implementation, which was rolled out on May 12th, 2003, is the first stage in the company's strategy to roll out similar services across Russia.

Mikhail Khanov, Research and Development Director of MTS said: "The launch of these new MMS services in Moscow is the first step in our strategy to roll out MMS services to our subscribers across Russia. LogicaCMG has provided us with a market proven solution that will deliver the quality of service that our subscribers will expect from MMS services."
