Guam GSM Coverage to Improve
AirNet Communications says that HafaTEL, an existing AirNet customer, has placed orders for approximately US$500,000 which include AdaptaCell base stations, AirSite TripCap upgrade kits and maintenance services. The equipment will be utilized to provide increased capacity and coverage on HafaTEL's PCS network on the island of Guam.
AirNet's products and technology are a perfect fit for Guam, said John Wu, Vice President of HafaTel. "Whether we have a high traffic area that needs increased capacity, or an area that needs cost-effective coverage, you simply can't beat AirNet's value proposition. In fact, in often-harsh environmental conditions, AirNet's products provide outstanding reliability, quality and service. There is no doubt that AirNet's products and people have played a huge part in our rapid success and growth."
"We are always pleased when a loyal customer like HafaTEL comes back to AirNet for more of our world class products and services, said Bill Lee, Vice President of Services for AirNet Communications Corporation. "Mr. Wu and his team have done an excellent job of building HafaTEL's market share and providing its subscribers with GSM service that is second to none. Our rapidly deployable GSM solutions, such as the TripCap base station, have enabled HafaTEL to maximize its revenue opportunities by dynamically managing capacity demands. We look forward to continued development of our business relationship."
HafaTEL was founded in 2000, and currently has approximately 10,000 subscribers."
