Text Messaging More Addictive Than Cigarettes
The cigarettes found in the hands of many of today's teenagers are being replaced by another addiction - albeit healthier - the mobile phone.
Text messaging by children in the UK increased 1400% in the year 2000 and now over one billion pounds per year is spent on sending text messages, with over US$150,000 per day spent by under 18 year olds. And that amounts to a good proportion their pocket money or hard earned cash.
