ART Wins Turkish Speech Recognition Contract

ART Advanced Recognition Technologies, a producer of speech and handwriting recognition technologies for the mobile world, has announced the signing of its first agreement with RAKS Holding, one of Turkey's largest industrial concerns.

According to the agreement, ART's speech recognition name dialing solution will be ported into two RAKS Telecom's new GSM mobile phones platform -- including the RAKS 9745 color LCD, polyphonic melodies, GPRS, camera phone and the 9545 without a camera, to be launched in 2003, this colored mobile device is expected to further add to RAKS penetration into the Turkish market and beyond.
