Post Offices to Offer Mobile Phone Repair Service

Mobilefone Repair, which manages handset repairs in Fiji on behalf of Vodafone has signed an agreement that expanded its retail presence to all the post offices in the island nation. Mobilefone Repair has been operating in Fiji for some time now with premises at Gordon Street, Suva and the service center has moved to new and larger premises and additional service equipment has been imported to help provide an even more extensive service.

"We welcome the expansion of footprint of Mobilefone into the Fijian Market and this reflects the confidence that Mobilefone Repair has in Fiji," said Manish Kakkar, Prepay Product Manager. He also added, "The consumers will be the winners from the development."

A phone can be left at any post office Fiji wide. Post Fiji will send the unit to Suva for repair and it will be sent back to the same post office for collection. This effectively means that there are twenty-six locations around Fiji that will accept mobile phones for repair making the service easy and convenient to everyone. There will always be a location close by that will assist in repair of mobile phones.

Ross Coldwell, Managing Director of Mobilefone Repair said, "He is positive about this venture only as a result of increase in mobile phone connections in Fiji. We acknowledge the contribution that Vodafone Fiji has made to increase the Tele-density in the country. This launch in partnership with Vodafone Fiji and Post Fiji will no doubt reinforce and strengthen our footprint in the Australasian market."
