Nokia Ends European Retail Partnership

Nokia says that it has terminated its business relationship with the BlueTel Group of companies. The company says that the main reason for this has been the unexpected and unsatisfactory business developments in connection with the mobile phone service network in some European countries. Nokia has fully evaluated the situation, and based on the information available, it has determined the need for this immediate termination. The cooperation was terminated in Denmark, Germany, Italy, Lithuania, and Switzerland.

Nokia deeply regrets this situation with its long-standing partner, who has participated in building parts of Nokia's European Concept Store network and the Club Nokia Service Point network. Nokia also regrets that it had to take these measures, which may cause certain practical inconveniences for consumers and in the service network. Nokia has alternative service arrangements in place in all of these countries, but it is anticipated that in the short term this situation will call for extra patience and understanding among its customers.

The BlueTel Corporation currently has 25 shops in Denmark, 39 shops in Germany, 8 shops in Italy, departments in Hungary, Norway, Romania, Switzerland and Lithuania and also several Partner Shops all over."
