Missed Calls Notification by SMS
bmd wireless says that it has added new features and functionality to the Personal Call Collector (PCC) - a solution that captures attempted/missed calls when a wireless subscriber is out of coverage or not reachable, generating it is claimed an on average 4 -5% incremental uplift in voice revenue.
The PCC is a platform that notifies the called party with the telephone number and date/time of the calls, number of attempted/missed calls and delivers the information by sending a short message. The PCC generates new billable interactions through outbound voice traffic (call backs), incoming calls and additional short messages.
"The PCC provides wireless carriers the opportunity to further capitalize on voice generating value added services through the power of SMS as a personal communication service," said Primo Amrein, Business Development Manager of bmd wireless. "By providing simple and easy to use value added services, wireless carriers can stimulate new revenue streams and deliver customer convenience with the Personal Call Collector."
In addition, the platform serves as a business tool that enables end-users to become more efficient and productive by delivering flexible and responsive information tailored to the customer's needs. The PCC interfaces various core network elements and provides an optional SMSC for store and forward functionality, offloading traffic from current SMSC infrastructure."
