Dogs Used to Advertise Cell Phones

SonyEricsson's UK advertising agency has recruited hundreds of dogs to advertise its new T300 cell phone. The marketing campaign involves dogs wearing specially-made jackets that carry pictures of the handsets, and have already been seen in parts of London.

The ad agency has recruited teams of dog-walkers to put the overalls on the dogs when they are walking the dogs in the parks of major cities in the UK.

The company is also using postcards, flyers and a viral email campaign to direct people to a specially made website for the campaign, which uses the tag line "cool to drool".

Doubtless some animal rights activists will complain about the campaign, garnering SonyEricsson some free "publicity"."
